How do we keep an organizational memory?

Hartline uses objective statements to interpret the goals of institutions as well as individuals.  We want the objectives statement to answer the “Why, What, How, Where, and When” questions regarding the organization.  Why are we in business?,  What are we doing and what else should we be doing to accomplish our goals?  How should we accomplish what we are doing?, Where should we be invested or where should we be doing what we are doing? And finally, when is the target date for completion?  As they say, “If you have a goal without a date, it is not a goal”.

Writing down the answers to these questions will help form the basis for an objectives statement.
